Two months ago, I willingly reviewed a cool playlist known as Star Wars LoFi and ranked seven of the many songs I listened to from least to greatest. But because of how much I enjoyed doing this, I have chosen to review another playlist known as Best Of Star Wars which is a playlist that essentially contains basically every single song the franchise has had to offer in the same way I did last time, ranking seven of the songs from least to greatest however I encourage you, the reader, to listen to the playlist if you have the time to!
1. The Imperial March
The most iconic song on this list is usually always playing whenever Darth Vader, the antagonist for four of the 6 original movies, was on screen in the shows or movies because it was essentially his theme song. The brass instruments mix in really well with the percussion instruments that play throughout most of the song. The song is also likely the most perfected out of all of the songs in Star Wars, in my opinion. Overall, because of how well this song is, I would say this is worthy of having the highest rank of all the songs in this article, 10/10!
2. Duel Of Fates
This song is very fast-paced and gives you an uneasy feeling when listening to it because of how the instruments and choir speed up and then slow down while simultaneously getting louder and quieter at different sections. There was even a point in the song where it stopped for a few seconds before starting up once more! The song is also pretty iconic due to it being played in the first movie of the prequel trilogy! Overall, I think it is worthy of a high placement on this list, 9/10.
3. Yoda’s Theme
At first, this song starts slow and calm, then starts to get lighter and somewhat mysterious while retaining that calm feeling it gives off at the beginning. During the middle, however, it briefly shifts towards a jolly-sounding song before returning to how it was previously. Overall, I would say this is a solid and perfect song, especially since most Star Wars songs are more fast-paced or somewhat loud. I would rate this a 8.5/10.
4. Boba’s Theme
This song is very reminiscent of The Mandalorian song, which could be because The Mandalorian may or may not have taken inspiration from it. Firstly, the vocals in this song are perfect and work perfectly with the varying instruments that you can hear in the song! Unless you saw the show, The Book of Boba Fett, you probably would not know this is a Star Wars song because of how unique it sounds! Overall, I would say this song is a solid 8/10 and one of my favorites on this somewhat large list.
5. The Mandalorian
The song starts off sorta mysteriously with a flute-like instrument before bringing in more instruments after a sudden pause. The song is very, very good in my opinion, I love how they used the brass instruments and percussion in this song! If there was one thing, though, that I felt was missing in this song then it would be vocals because I feel like some could have made it sound much more unique. To sum it up, I will say that this is likely a 7/10 in my books.
6. The Final Saber Duel
This song sounds very similar to other Star Wars songs that aren’t on this list, and some that are on this list; however, at the same time, it sounds different from them. Similar to Duel Of Fates, it repeatedly changes its volume and speed, but unlike Duel Of Fates, it gets peaceful near the end of the song. Overall, I like this song, but I don’t like it as much as the rest because again, it seems to take a lot of inspiration from other Star Wars songs. This one is probably a 6/10.
7. The Falcon
The song is very fast-paced, starting immediately upon being played. It sounds like something you would hear in a chase sequence for a show or movie, which is probably what it was used for. In my opinion, it sounds somewhat bland considering there are many songs just like it all over the playlist. Regardless, if I were to rate this one, I would put it as a 4/10.
In general, Best Of Star Wars is a very fun playlist full of diverse and unique songs however not everyone may want noisy songs to listen to as they could disturb them if they were hypothetically doing something where they had to remained focused, but do not fret as there is a playlist that only has songs that are made to help you concentrate, which you can read about here! https://ohstalon.com/13703/showcase/star-wars-lofi-playlist-a-review/

I personally don’t watch star wars but my brother pretends to be him and walks around the living room when it’s play. he says he likes the Yoda song too because it is very quiet and makes me feel sleepy.

This article is good because it gives a really clear review of different Star Wars songs and ranks them from best to worst. I like how the author explains what each song sounds like, like describing the “Imperial March” as perfect or saying how “Duel of Fates” feels fast and uneasy.

I was born on Star Wars day, but I have never watched anything about Star Wars. That being said, I would probably like this because of the calming aroma.

This was a pretty intriguing article. I love the follow up, though. I agree with most of these picks. The Imperial March is definitely my favorite from the Star Wars soundtrack. However, it was interesting to hear about the different moods that each song conveys

I really enjoyed reading your rankings, and I agree that The Imperial March is the most iconic song because it sounds so powerful. In my experience, listening to The Mandalorian theme always makes me feel like I’m on an adventure, even if I’m just doing homework. It’s cool how Star Wars music can change your mood so quickly!

I’ve personally never listened to any of these songs, but I’ll try to when I have the time!
