Recently, a new playlist titled Star Wars Lofi was created on the official Star Wars YouTube channel. This playlist is solely for lofi songs. Lofi songs are a unique type of instrumental music made to help someone stay on task/focus on studying, doing chores, playing games, or even sleeping. There are many types of lofi songs, ranging from soothing songs to upbeat songs to even steampunk songs. Surprisingly, I am making a list of my top 5 favorites from the playlist, but I highly recommend you check it out for yourself, as there are 12 currently available songs out of 14 you can listen to, with more seemingly coming with time.
1 – Snowy Starkiller Base
Now this one is pretty chill(get it?) and memorable because out of everything on this list, this one has the most moments that sound like songs heard in the movies, the beat is really good, and the instruments used fit perfectly for the verse they are in. I’d say it’s really good for listening to while doing anything, really, though unlike the rest, this one seems to be very holiday-themed. I would say this one is a ten out of ten, especially if you like Christmassy music!
1 – Starlight Beacon
I think this one is definitely the most unique-sounding so far! If you want something peaceful and space-themed to listen to, then this one works for you. I would say it is one of the best to play while doing homework or studying, so in my opinion, this one is a ten out of ten too. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to pick which one is better between this one and Snowy Starkiller Base, so why not have them both in first place on this list!
2 – Cal Kestis On The Stinger Mantis
This one is very sci-fi themed in my opinion, it’s also pretty simple in the instruments it uses, but it makes up for that by having a good beat and good verses. It’s pretty good for studying, as it’s likely not to distract you from what you are doing, but I would put it as an eight out of ten.
3 – The Mandelorian And Grogu
I like how the song slowly adds more instruments and verses to it progresses but the off key piano notes at the beginning of it makes it sound off but they start to fit the more the song goes on in my opinion which eventually leads to it being a great song for listening to when doing work but probably not the best as it does seem to have a lot of different parts which could distract you from your work, I would say this is a nine out of ten.
4 – A View From Kenobi’s Cave
This song is probably the most upbeat of all of them in the playlist, but also is the most simplistic, not to say that’s bad, though, because it definitely works with the beat it has. There is not much to say about it, but it is still very nice to listen to, probably a seven out of ten.
5 – Nighttime At Jabba’s Palace
This one, because it sounds so different when compared to some of the others! I think when the brass instrument plays, it helps add to its somewhat eerie or mysterious feeling. This one gets brought down on this list due to being rather repetitive, reusing a lot of the same verses the most out of all of the songs listed here. This one is most likely a six out of ten.
6 – The Bad Batch: Cid’s Parlor
Not a huge fan of this one, but it does sound casual and calm. It’s somewhat repetitive, but it uses instruments that the other songs listed don’t: the brass and string instruments used here, for example, really aid the song and improve it significantly. This is a seven out of ten.
Overall, all of the songs in the playlist are high quality and good, though I only picked seven of them for this article, but if you have the time(or need something to listen to while studying or something) I recommend you listen to these and maybe, just maybe, share what you think about them in the comments below!

This review of the Star Wars Lofi playlist is helpful because it explains how this type of music can help people focus on schoolwork or chores. It’s cool that the article breaks down specific songs, like “Snowy Starkiller Base” and “Starlight Beacon,” and gives an honest opinion on each track. I agree that music can make tasks better and this playlist sounds like a good one to check out.

I’m not the type to listen to this kind of music, but sometimes I really need music to focus when I’m studying. I will definitely try this playlist out!

I actually don’t like star wars but I do like the songs related to it because they are usually relaxing. I might mix this playlist in with my Minecraft one!

I haven’t listened to this playlist yet, but I do love Star Wars and lofi so I’ll give it a try. I hope it’s kind of like the traditional Star Wars music from the original movies, though. That music is amazing.

I listened to this playlist while studying and I got distracted because I was so mesmerized by the music and couldn’t focus. This music was engaging and I would recommend it as the soundtrack to some me-time.

Im so glad someone wrote about these! I started to listen to this list a little bit ago. I like to listen to them when reading my sci-fi books to really show the vibe.

I have yet to listen to any of these. However, after reading this article I most definitely will!
