Here at Osbourn, we have students who have favorite desserts for the holidays. Some people get really excited to eat some of their favorite desserts during the holidays with friends and family. Maybe someone’s favorite dessert has a meaning behind it. Do you have a favorite dessert? Does your favorite have a meaning of why you like it? Whenever people bring up the holidays, they think about what they are going to eat, like the food and the desserts. That’s why people get excited during this time of year to eat all their favorites. Let’s hear what some of our Osbourn Eagles’ favorite desserts are that they are looking forward to eating this holiday season.
Some of our Osbourn Eagles have similar desserts that they can’t wait for this holiday season. One of our popular desserts that people like eating during the holiday season is flan. Ashly Gonzalez and Dayana Rivera both said, “My favorite dessert is flan.” There is something called chocoflan, which is similar to flan, but it has chocolate cake under the flan, so it’s layered. Another favorite dessert that people enjoy eating during the holidays is mint chocolate chip ice cream. Maliya Martinez and Ashly Gonzalez both say, ” My favorite dessert during the holiday is mint chocolate chip ice cream.” Maliya Martinez said, “Mint chocolate chip ice cream is my favorite because my dad introduced it to me when I was little and I fell in love with it ever since.” Some people have special meanings for why their favorite dessert is their favorite.

In the Hispanic culture, there is a dessert called ensalada de fruta (fruit salad). I would say the thing I look forward to most is the food at gatherings. My aunt usually makes fresas con crema at every party, and it’s my favorite because the strawberries combined with the crema are top tier.

I love reading about all these treats! It doesn’t matter where you are from, dessert is the best part of the holidays. I want to try the cookies with hot cocoa or maybe a big slice of cake.

My favorite dessert is carrot cake. It’s delicious and always worth it. However, around the holidays, I always look forward to eating sugar cookies by the dozen. All these desserts really intrigued me and I want to try them all! Both chocoflan and ensalada de fruta sound like delicious sweet treats.
