If you love pizza and you want to try a new restaurant, I really recommend Benny Capolago’s. This restaurant is not really well-known to many people living in Virginia. Benny’s pizzas are pretty good, and their sizes are enough to make a person full.

You can find Benny’s Pizza in Old Town near the Harris Pavilion. Benny’s Pizza is a chain, and it is only located across Virginia, having locations in cities like Norfolk, Richmond, Roanoke, and Virginia Beach. Benny’s pizzas may not be what you might think they are. Their pizzas are New York-style pizza, which is why their pizzas are big. You might be thinking that their pizzas are big and New York-style, then they might be expensive. Actually, not at all. Their prices are pretty reasonable. One slice of pizza costs about 5 to 7 dollars, depending on your topping and whether you’re getting a drink. A whole pizza pie costs about 36 to 44 dollars, also depending on your toppings. Don’t forget their pizzas are big, so they can feed a lot of people.

Once you go inside, the interior of Benny’s is really cool. They have nice paintings on their walls in the front and back of the restaurant. At the back of the building is a back door, which leads to the Pavilion.

The history behind Benny’s Pizza is actually surprising to many people, because it’s not what people expect the background to be. Benny Capolago originated from a fictional backstory of a man who worked under Italian chefs in New York, later moved to Virginia, and started making large pizzas for his neighbors in a brick oven he made himself on his back porch. The first Benny Capolago’s restaurant was in Blacksburg, Virginia. It was such a hit that Benny Capolagos’s started to pop up in many other locations around Virginia. The name Capolago is a reference to the Capllagos Terminale in Switzerland. To this day, the story of who started Benny’s Pizza remains a secret.

The workers at the Manassas Benny’s Pizza are friendly and respectful to customers. When the workers were asked about which items are the most popular at Benny’s, they responded that customers usually buy the 28-inch pizza slices, primarily just cheese, pepperoni, and mushroom. Customers also usually buy beers, soda, and cider. As for desserts, customers often purchase ice cream and ice cream sandwiches.

I really recommend going to Benny Capolago’s, because they have affordable and good pizzas. Their hours of operation are on Sunday-Thursday from 11 am to 10 pm and on Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 12 pm.
