Have you tried Selena Gomez’s makeup line, Rare Beauty? Rare Beauty’s official company released their first products on  September 3, 2020. “Selena wanted to create a conduit to resources, and a platform to start positive conversations around self-acceptance and mental health,” Her reason for all of this is because during quarantine, she found herself seeing all of these makeup lines, that brought out what society wants you to be and look like. She wanted to create something that wasn’t just a company, but a family and safe space where you could be yourself and feel beautiful, without having to be at everyone’s standards. “I wanted there to be a conversation started,” Gomez told Fast Company about her desire to start Rare Beauty following her bipolar diagnosis. “I wasn’t ashamed, and I wanted it to lead to something healing,”. The work, effort, and thought put into these products is CRAZY. The amount of time the packaging took was worth it because the products look so cool. Some are clear, some are blurred, and they always look amazing.

Here are my thoughts on a few specific products.

Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation

The Liquid Touch Weightless foundation is made for a medium coverage, so that it looks pretty and covers certain areas, but still feels like skin and is not too heavy. The foundation already without having to use highlighter, it gives you that glowy and shiny look. If you want to go out and make your skin stand out and look amazing, this is definitely the foundation for you.  The packaging has a pretty white top with a clear product holder, showing you the product inside, as well as a soft applicator that gives you the right amount that you need, with the company name sideways on the bottle. The bottle holds 0.94 fl oz of product that should last you about 3-8 months. There are 48 shades in this product and definitely one for EVERYONE. Overall this is an amazing product to use, unless you want something to completely cover you.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush

The Soft Pinch Liquid Blush comes in 13 shades for a matte or dewy finish, including Happy, Joy, and Hope, all beautiful shades. There is 0.25 ounces in each blush bottle, which could last you a very long time, but if you use it regularly about 12-18 months. It comes with almost the same packaging as the foundation, but the top is gold and it is about 3/5 of the foundation size. The applicator is a pretty pink color and is smaller than the foundation, but it gives you a lot of blush.You don’t even need a lot because of the high level of pigmentation. It does blend really well, and doesn’t run through, crease, or take off any of your makeup. The shades are very cheeky, and  some have that dark feminine look, while others have a very soft pink look.

Rare Beauty Warm Effortless Bronzer Stick

This is an absolutely AMAZING bronzer. It feels very soft, but also creamy and gives you that look of a jawline and cheekbones. The bronzer really brings out the features you have or want depending on where you put it. There are 8 shades of the Warm Effortless Bronzer Stick, including Always Sunny, Full of Life, and Power Boost. Some say that it is the best bronzer, which could be very true; it is very good. Whatever Selena Gomez put in these, she needs to keep doing it. The bronzer stick has a cute pinkish structure with a twister at the bottom to bring the product up when you need to and it has a pretty gold cover to match the bottom twist.

Rare Beauty Liquid and Powder Highlighter

THE PIGMENT IN THESE HIGHLIGHTERS IS UNBELIEVABLE. It gives you so much in just one swipe; it is such a beautiful color and gives you the perfect shine. The highlighter literally looks like magic. The Positive Light Silky Touch Powder Highlight has only 4 beautiful shades like Flaunt and Mesmerize. There are 8 Positive Light Luminizer Dewy Liquid Highlighters, two of the prettiest shades are Rose Gold (Transcend) and Champagne (Enlighten). The liquid highlight comes in a clear bottle with a cute pink top attached to the thin gold applicator. The powder highlighter comes in a Pink, soft feeling, powder blush, and mini mirror-looking package. Very convenient to put in a little purse or your pocket to carry around if you need a little touch up. The liquid highlighter gives you more of a wet but shiny look, while the powder highlighter gives you a matte, silky look. The liquid highlighter has 2.39 fl oz of magic in the bottle, which should last you about a year.

Rare Beauty aromatherapy pen

This pen smells like lavender with peppermint. It smells so refreshing and feels very cooling, it’s not greasy or sticky, and it is used to de- stress and relax. It has pretty purple packaging and a white, blurred applicator, that lets you put it anywhere. It is also a size where you can bring it anywhere with you and it does not mess up your makeup. This is definitely a great product and really does work on helping you relax.

I would definitely recommend Rare Beauty for anyone. This line has such amazing products!!
