Did you know that there is a battle between the four grades? Ms.Browning and our school’s leadership team have come up with this competition to get students to come to school more.
“The battle of the grades is to inspire students, in a healthy way, to compete for a reward that is really exciting and meaningful for them. The reason I want them to compete is that I want to see their attendance improve. We want them to be in class, on time, every day,” explained Mrs. Browning.
The winner of the battle will be rewarded with a field day, which will be on May 1, 2026. One way you can keep track of which grade is winning is by watching the morning show.”The broadcast journalism students will start doing weekly updates on the battle of the classes. Make sure that in your Nest class, you stay tuned for the winning grade of the week. The broadcast journalists will be working with Dr.Chapman to let everyone know which class is in the lead each week,” said Ms.Miller.
Here are some things we can expect at the field day. “I want there to be bouncy houses and obstacle courses. I also want the joust bouncy house, where two people fight with inflatable sticks. There will be food trucks. I believe that Glory Days will also be there,” explained Ms. Browning.
Here is how you can help your grade win this battle. Just be at school, on time, every day.
So, who do we think will win? “I think that sophomores are gonna win because juniors & seniors are really busy,” said Margret Rivera.
“I don’t want to say, but I’m wishing all the grades good luck,” said Ms. Browning.
Maliya Martinez said, “I think the sophomores, because the people in my class actually attend classes.”
The winner of this battle will be announced during the last week of April.
Who do you think will win? What would you love to see at the field day? Tell us in the comments!

I am not really sure who will win because every grade is working super hard to get to class on time for that field day. In my experience, competitions like this make school way more exciting, even if it’s just for the bouncy houses. I would love to see a giant inflatable obstacle course and some local food trucks at the event in May!

I think the juniors or seniors will win!

I feel like the sophomores will win because they have a pretty good attendance. I hope they have like Burger King and Chick-fil-a and a dunk tank to dunk teachers.

Honestly Im I freshman myself and I think There’s barely possibility of us winning because a lot of freshman’s skip class.

I believe the juniors will win because they have amazing attendance (from what I’ve seen), but I hope we (the sophomores) win because a field day sounds fun.

I think the sophomores will win because they have great attendance. It would be very exciting to have a giant obstacle course at the field day. I also hope they serve delicious pizza for all the students to enjoy.

Personally I think that the sophmores are going to win because a lot of freshman’s think because its their first year they wont miss anything, and for juniors and seniors I think they might be more likely to go home early.

I actually didn’t know about this, but it sounds pretty cool! I personally don’t think the Class of 2029 will win because I feel like we struggle with getting to class on time. I’d say the Class of 2027 will win because they are older and are starting to get their lives together.

Honestly, although I am a freshman myself, I think the chances are very slim for us. Many kids in my grade like to skip class, or just be extremely late. But I still have a sliver of hope for us this in this battle ! If freshman don’t win though, it will most likely be the sophomores is my guess.

I think the juniors will win because 11th grade is when you have to really focus. I hope the freshman wins, though, the field day sounds like it would be a great time.

I think that juniors or seniors will win because alot of freshman’s and sophmores skip, and junior year is probally one of the most important years in high school. I think that freshman definitely aren’t winning.

I hope sophomores win because that’s my class and I really want that field day. I’ve also noticed more people from my class attending to class.

I hope sophomores win because we never win, but I doubt it because some people from my grade like to skip a lot. I just hope class of 2028 can pull it together in time.

I think juniors will win because I’ve heard that 11th grade is arguably one of the most important years of highschool, so attendance really matters. My second guess would probably be sophomores, but probably not seniors since most of them are basically on their way out the door and don’t want to come to school all the time.
