On April 30th and May 1st, the OHS Choir will be holding their spring show. This year’s spring show is called “Disney Spectacular,” based on famous Disney movies.

The show costs $5 for children/students and $10 for general admission. The show starts at 7 PM and has a total of 47 acts. The Disney Spectacular show is a collection and performance of songs from Disney movies we all watched as kids, and songs from older movies.

The OHS choir has been preparing for this show for a while and has worked hard to make sure that the show is entertaining for everyone who comes to watch it. Students in the choir have shown dedication and motivation to make Disney Spectacular an amazing experience for everyone. “Knowing the results of our hard work has given me motivation for the show, because just seeing the smile on people’s faces and how they cheer you on makes me proud of myself and the choir department. My favorite element of the show is the dancing and the theme because the dancing is super fun. I also like the little groups we have because you get to be with your friends. Once you get on stage, the nervousness goes away because you’re with your friends and you’re just having so much fun that you forget you’re being watched by a lot of people,” says Guyliana Ilombo, a freshman in the Beginning Treble Chorus class. 

The Disney Spectacular show is very important to a lot of people in chorus. For some people, this is their last show. Zonia, a senior, in Bella Voce said, “The spring show is special to me because it’s going to be one of the last times I get to perform with this amazing ensemble and the friends I made along the way.”

All of the choir classes have something in common, which is their passion. They’ve all been working very hard to make this concert memorable and a great experience. Did you know that you can  make these days special for a younger sibling? There are also VIP packages for the program. When VIP is bought, it upgrades your ticket. The “Wish Upon a Star Package” includes a picture with the Disney Princesses (5:30-6:30) and a snack from concessions for $10.

Then the “Once Upon a Dream Package” is $25 and includes the picture with the Disney Princesses, an autographed poster of the Disney Princesses, and a Disney goody bag.

Last is the “Bibbidi Bobbidi VIP Package”, which is priced at $50. This VIP package includes hair and makeup done (30-minute session) and an exclusive picture with a Disney Princess. The child will also be brought on stage for an exclusive snapshot with Disney villains and princesses, they will also get a Disney goody bag, and VIP seating for young guests and up to 2 adults. It also includes admission to the show, a Disney hairbrush and tiara, and an autographed poster of a Disney princess.

If you are looking for something to do on April 30 or May 1st, you should consider coming out to support the OHS Choir. You can pay at the door, but tickets will also be sold at all lunches. Be sure to bring friends and family so you all can have a night of fun and entertainment!
