Osbourn High School’s new connector to JLC has been long-awaited by many.
The exciting news that it was finished came after 7 months of construction. The project cost over 3 million dollars and has provided a new environment for students in the way they get to class without walking outside. The new connector has been exciting for many teachers and students, as it improves the overall school experience at OHS.
For months, students watched as workers built the walkway. They wondered how it would turn out and how it would change their school day. Now that it is finally finished, many people can agree that it was worth the wait. The connector not only connects two buildings, but it also connects students to a better and more comfortable school day.
Many students have shared how the new connector has made a huge difference in their daily routines.”I really had a hard time getting to my class on time abecause I had to go outside, and now I feel like the new connector has provided us with a safer and easier route,” freshman Jose Vasquez said.
Freshman Melanie Perez shared how the new connector has influenced her to get to class on time.” The new connector has influenced me to get to class on time now because having to take a long walk outside to JLC was always very exhausting to me, and now I get to take a better route and not worry about getting into more tardy sweeps or rushing,” she said.
Some people say that the new connector gets a bit crowded sometimes. “I do like the new connector, but sometimes I do feel like it gets more crowded during some passing periods than it would outside, but overall I think it has been a positive change for everyone,” said freshman Haley Pinto.
The new connector has helped many other students to get to class on time.”I see a big difference in students coming to class earlier, and I think that the new connector has solved many issues for getting to class on time for many students,” said Mr. Calderon, who has a classroom in JLC. Teachers have also noticed that students seem less stressed when they arrive to class because they are not rushing in from the cold, rain, or heat. Instead of worrying about the weather, students can now focus more on their school work and being prepared for class.
Osbourn High School’s new connector has been a success for the school in the way we navigate between classes, and it has helped many other students with their attendance as well as helping them get to class on time. It has made the school day feel more organized and smoother for everyone.
The new connector has improved the school’s security and the safety of many other students. It’s definitely a step up for the school community and benefits the school’s future!

I really liked this article because it shows how much easier it is for students to get to class now. Even though it gets a little crowded it sounds way better than having to deal with tardy sweeps or rushing outside and being cold or getting rained on

I think the new connector is a great addition to the school because it’s much better than walking through the rain or cold. In my experience, it used to be really stressful trying to get the JLC on time, but now the walk feels shorter and more relaxed. It’s definitely worth the construction time to have a path that keeps us warm and dry.

This is my first year at Osbourn High, so I haven’t really had the winter experience of traveling to JLC but Im really glad for this hallway!

I really liked this article and I do not have classes in JLC but a lot of my friends do and they used to complain about having bad weather and having to walk outside to get to the other building. I am so glad they built this path.

That sounds like a really cool upgrade for school .It must feel so much better to stay warm and dry inside instead of having to run through the rain or cold to get to the JLC.

I’m glad that the connector was finally finished. It definitely keeps the rain snow, and cold away. The new hallway has made it easier for me to get to class on time and I don’t feel as rushed as I used to, but to echo Pinto, it does get really crowded during passing periods.

I’m happy the connector is now built so we don’t have to walk outside in the freezing cold. It just feels sort of weird that there’s only one building now.

I am glad we have the new connector. I feel like it was very needed especially during these times of the year where its cold, snowing, and raining.

I’m so glad that we have the new connector, especially when the weather isn’t so nice. I will miss being able to walk outside when the weather is nice and sunny during the end of the school year though. Nice article!

I like the new connector I feel like its a positive impact to our building because that way when it’s raining snowing or really cold and windy we don’t have to go outside as much anymore.

I really like this article because I heavily agree that the connector made the school days much easier and I get to class on time much more often than I used to when the connector wasn’t built.

I really like the new connector especially since it has been so windy and cold outside, I also this this new connector is great because when it is rainy students don’t have to walk in the rain and they can stay inside and be warm.
