October is Bullying Prevention Month!
Yesterday, Wednesday, October 16th, OHS united in orange to promote a culture of inclusion, acceptance, and kindness. By wearing orange, our school community sent a powerful message against bullying.
Today, we extend a heartfelt message to anyone who has experienced bullying: You are not alone. Bullying can be a lonely and isolating experience, but it’s important to remember that you are not the only one facing this challenge. Everyone has been bullied at some point, and no one deserves to feel isolated or targeted.
The Counseling Department and PBIS + Positive Change Ambassadors joined forces to create a vibrant atmosphere of tolerance and inclusion in our school community. Together, we ‘Screamed Orange’ to symbolize our commitment to a bullying-free environment. The event was a powerful reminder of the importance of kindness, acceptance, and respect for all.
A special shout out to the teachers and staff who participated in our school’s ‘Scream Orange’ event. Your enthusiasm and commitment to creating a positive and inclusive school climate are truly inspiring.

It’s sweet to see something that acknowledges the bullying problem around the world. Even better that it’s trying to stop it.

We really need bullying to be prevented here in this school and in every school in Manassas.

Thank goodness they did all this work to prevent bullies. People normally bully others and do not know all the things that may happen because of the fact they bullied that person. It could lead to depression or even suicidal thoughts. Please do not bully others. If you are bullying others for the sake of keeping your friends and seeming cool, they aren’t your friends. It is not too late to change though, stop bullying.
