Key Club
Key Club meets in the mornings during advisory. Everyone in this club is required to do community service; the members sign up for the day they are able to help out with our school community and help keep it clean. They even help out the schools around us! This club is an all-inclusive, student-led service club that could make a difference in our school and community.
“We do community service but it has to be on our own time, and we need to have 50 hours of community service by the end of the semester. Also, the upperclassmen lead the discussions most of the time. This club is more independent for the students because we get to lead it, and it’s more of a self-guided program and helps you with your leadership for sure. If you do Key Club in your senior year you will get a cord. Also if you take AVID you can combine your community service hours with Key Club. I like Key Club because you get to help your community and get to have good, deep discussions with your classmates. Also, we have underclassmen do the editing and things of that nature. Key Club has for sure had a positive impact on my life. It has shown me to be more independent and to manage my time wisely,” said member Karla Corrales.
