Art and Set Design Club

The Art and Set Design Club for the 2022-2023 school year began on September 20th, 2022 accompanied by the club sponsors- Mrs. Bosarge and Mrs. Taaffe.

The plans for the club include creative work and individual/group projects.

“This year in art club we will be creating paintings, drawings, and sculptures, painting a mural and ceiling tiles,” said Mrs. Taaffe, one of the club sponsors.

“We also hope to add more art around the building and possibly outside of the building.” she also mentioned.

Many students are looking forward to these aspects of the art club as well.

“The main thing I wanna do in the art club, would be making art for the school in some way- but I also wanna experiment in different aspects in all types of art and do something that I’d keep for a long time,” said junior Maryam Ahmadi.

Ahmadi, like many other art club members, also enjoys the amount of freedom they have to experiment with art in the club.

“I also do have an art class but I feel freer to try different things in the club since it’s not graded and the art I make, whether I like it or not, won’t affect my grade” Ahmadi mentioned.

Mrs. Taaffe, Mrs. Bosarge, and many students in the art club are looking forward to the 2022-2023 school year because of the many activities they are excited to do and accomplish.

“The art club allows students to explore different mediums and work on their own personal art projects. The club also provides opportunities for collaborative group projects,” said Mrs. Taaffe to sum it all up.

If you or your friends are interested in art and want a place to practice and learn new art techniques, the art club is for you!

“Students are welcome to come to art club and can sign-up to join the club at any meeting!” concluded Mrs. Taaffe.
