The Romantic is a new album by Bruno Mars that came out on February 27, 2026. It contains Risk It All, Cha Cha Cha, I Just Might, God Was Showing Off, Why You Wanna Fight?, On My Soul, Something Serious, Nothing Left, and Dance With Me.
Bruno Mars is an American singer and is most famous for his hits, Uptown Funk, Just the Way You Are, and Locked Out of Heaven. He is also famous for his albums, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, Unorthodox Jukebox, and 24K Magic. He would imitate Elvis Presley as a young kid at a family revue.
1. Risk It All- 9/10
I really like this song because it reminds me of his earlier song, Talking To The Moon, from the album Doo-Wops & Hooligans. It is very soft, and I feel like it really soothes me. I love the dedication he shows in the song to his partner. It feels a lot like if I were at the beach, or a Latino restaurant. The guitar as the intro, I think, is a beautiful way to introduce the song. It also adds the guitar throughout, which I really think is a nice touch. This song has been trending with dance videos as well.
2. Cha Cha Cha-7/10
This song also feels like a dancing song because of the beat. I really like this song because of the upbeat and the lyrics. This is different from his other songs because they’re much more party-like, while this is more of a subtle dance. For example, Uptown Funk is much more upbeat and something that would be played at a party, while this song is much calmer and more of a love dance, despite the title.
3. I Just Might- 9.5/10
This song is much more lovey in terms of talking about someone and being in love. I really like it because it is upbeat, and it’s a song you would get up and dance to. I like the (what sounds to be) maracas in the background as well as the tambourines. This song exceeds how he usually is in his songs because it’s much more lovey, but it has about the same vibes as Uptown Funk. This song has also exceeded 100M views on YouTube.
4. God Was Showing Off- 8/10
The song starts off with Spanish, translated into “One, two, three, and again“. I really like this song as well because he talks about how beautiful the girl is and how God was showing off while making the girl. I like how he says that she can ‘set her wings free’ with him and such. This song reminds me of Just the Way You Are or Marry You because of the vibes and how he talks about the girl. I really like this song because it is upbeat, and I also like interludes in songs.
5. Why You Wanna Fight?- 10/10
I also really like this song because it’s lovey, but in a sad way. I tend to enjoy those types of songs because of the beat and how heartfelt they are. In this song, he shows his dedication to the girl with the lyrics, “You want me knockin’ on the door, cryin’ in the rain, Babygirl, for you, I’ll do all them things,” and I really like that lyric because of the dedication he shows. This song has a very jazzy vibe, and I think the song is like Leave the Door Open.
6. On My Soul-6/10
There’s not much to this song because it didn’t really catch my attention when I was listening. I do believe it’s a good song, but I would not go out of my way to listen to this song. He promises to love her like she’s never been loved before, and I do like that part in the song, but nothing else really sticks out to me.
7. Something Serious-8/10
I really like this song because he is talking about how he will always have her back and he will always be there for her. It reminds me of a musical when they end the song off on a high note, for when he says, “Something Serious,” he lets out an extended, “Yeah,” and I really like that. This song reminds me more of Pop and reminds me of the song, Count on Me because the lyrics relate most to that song.
8. Nothing Left-9/10
This song starts out very sad, with how ‘the flame burned out’ and how he thinks he’s ‘reaching out with nothing to hold on to’. He also talks about how ‘something has to change’, implying they need to break up. I really enjoy this song because it’s much like the previous song, Why You Wanna Fight?, and as I said, I enjoy sad-lovey songs. This song is very passionate and reminds me of Talking to the Moon.
9. Dance With Me- 10/10
This song is like a continuation of the songs, because he sings about how he hopes they will fall in love again once the music ends, implying they were once in love. I really like this song because it’s like a finalization to the album and their relationship. I also like how it leaves you wondering what the fate of this song is. I would compare this song to Leave the Door Open.
Overall, this album was amazing, and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to others, especially people who love romantic music. I really like how the album goes in order, like they are on and off before finally on permanently. This album was very good, and I would overall give it a 9.5/10.

I just listened to “I Just Might” and I liked his smooth and groovy style on that song. It kind of reminds me of “Leave the door open” with a soul vibe but with more of a disco vibe as well. I’m gonna listen to the album later cause I didn’t have time to listen to it the day it was released.

I love Bruno Mars and I wish I could go to his concert to see all these songs live. This album was good but it was definitely a new beat to a lot of the songs. Personally my favorite was Risk It All.

I really like this new album. Bruno Mars makes great music. The songs are very romantic and sound like his old hits. My favorite part is the guitar and the upbeat rhythm. You should listen to it if you like dancing.

I haven’t listened to a lot of Bruno Mars since I was a kid, but after reading this article, I may listen to the album. It’s not really my style of music though :/
