The Super Bowl (2026) halftime show took place on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The show was headlined by Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny. He made history as the first solo Latino to headline. Many famous celebrities joined him. Lady Gaga performed a salsa version of Die With a Smile, and Ricky Martin performed Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawái. Celebrities like Cardi B, Karol G, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba, and Young Miko were also seen during the show. There was even an on-stage wedding! A real couple got married during the performance, and Bad Bunny was their witness.
To learn more about what people thought, I interviewed five different people and asked them questions about the Super Bowl halftime show.
The first person I interviewed was Marlene Ortiz. I asked her what her favorite part of the halftime show was. She said, “The Super Bowl was really nice, but I don’t know anything about football. I only watch it because of Bad Bunny lol. My favorite part was when he held the football and said, Together we are America.” I asked her why that was her favorite moment, and she said, “It had meaning for Hispanics. Because without Hispanics, America isn’t the same.” I liked her response because Hispanics play a big role in the United States, especially hardworking people.
The other person I interviewed was La Siya Quinn, a freshman at OHS. I asked her if she watched the Super Bowl and if she liked it. She said, “I loved the Super Bowl. I think it was really nice, and I love that Bad Bunny was the headliner. It made it fun to watch.” I also asked her where she watched it. She said, “I watched it at home with my family. It was better than going out because we spent a lot of time together. We were dancing when Bad Bunny was performing. We really loved it, and I hope he performs again because it was something very different and special.”
The third person I interviewed was Sofia Martinez, a junior. I asked her if she watched the Super Bowl halftime show, and what was her favorite part? She said, “Yes, I watched it with my cousins. My favorite part was when Bad Bunny came out with the Flags of Central America on the stage. It made me feel proud.” I then asked her why that moment stood out to her. She replied, “It showed that Hispanics can be on big stages like this. It felt important, not just fun.” Sofia also said that she liked the energy of the dancers and how the music made everyone get up and dance in her house. She also said, “The show was not just about music. It was about culture, pride, and family.”
The fourth person I interviewed was Luis Lopez, a sophomore who enjoys both football and music. I asked him, “Do you usually watch the Super Bowl for the game or for the halftime show?” He answered, “I watch it for both, but this year I was more excited for the halftime show.” I asked him what he thought about Bad Bunny being the headliner. Luis said, ” I think it was a great choice. He has lots of fans, and his music is different from the past performers. It made the show feel fresh.” I also asked him about the on-stage wedding that happened during the performance. He responded, “It was very surprising. I’ve never seen a real couple get married at the Super Bowl. At first I thought it was fake, but no, it was real, and it made the night even more special.”
The last person I interviewed was Emily Sanchez, a freshman who said she normally does not watch football. I asked her why she decided to watch the Super Bowl this year? She said, “Honestly, I only watched it because everyone was talking about it in school, and on social media, and also because I like Bad Bunny’s music.” I then asked her what she thought after watching it. Emily said, “I didn’t expect it to be that good. The lights, the dancers, and the special guests made it feel like a huge concert.” She also talked about how she noticed many celebrities in the crowd. “When I saw Karol G, I got so happy and excited,” she said. Emily said that even though she does not care much about football, she would watch the Super Bowl again if the halftime show was just as exciting.
After speaking with these five people, I noticed something important. Each person had a different reason for enjoying the halftime show. Even though they all have different interests, they agreed that the halftime show was special and meaningful.
“I liked how Bad Bunny got the chance to sing at the halftime show, because he is one of my favorite artists,” said Michael Via.
Paola Hernandez said, “I wished he would’ve sung Dakiti because it’s my favorite song.”
In conclusion, the Super Bowl 2026 halftime show was more than just entertainment. It was a moment that brought people together through music, culture, and celebration. Bad Bunny’s performance made history and showed that representation matters. The special guests, the on-stage wedding, and the strong message about unity made the show unforgettable. From proud families watching at home to students talking about it at school and through social media, the halftime show created memories that will last a long time. It proved that the Super Bowl is not just about football; it is also about bringing people together and celebrating who we are.

As a latino, I listen to music in Spanish most of the time. Bad Bunny has a big discography of songs and the setlist had some of his popular songs from “Titi Me Pregunto” to his #1 song “DtMF” he really had the year last year and this year when he won “Album of the Year” at the 2026 Grammy’s! I hope he accomplishes more achievements like this in the near future

I think it was so cool when Bad Bunny held the football! My cousins were dancing in the living room and it felt like a giant party.

This article is good because it shows how a big event like the Super Bowl can bring the whole school together. I like how the author interviewed different students to see what they thought about Bad Bunny and the surprise wedding on stage and finding out the wedding was a real wedding

I didn’t watch the Superbowl because they promoted AI ads and ICE ads, so I boycotted. But, I do like some of Bad Bunny’s music.

I loved reading about everyone’s different reactions to the show! My favorite part was definitely the on-stage wedding because it made the performance feel so real and heartfelt. Like the students mentioned, seeing so much Latino pride on such a huge stage was an amazing experience that I won’t forget.

The choice of different perspectives in this article was really good. My family and I watched the Super Bowl for the halftime show, and I loved Bad Bunny’s performance this year. Even though I don’t speak a lot of Spanish, I could understand the feeling and message.

I’ve never watched a Super Bowl before, and this time I just turned the TV on for the halftime show. I’ve been a Bad Bunny fan since I was a kid, and seeing how much he has grown worldwide is honestly impressive.

I personally liked the show a lot. I did not watch the Super Bowl, and I just turned in for the halftime show. I didn’t understand much because I don’t speak a lot of Spanish, but the songs were catchy and I loved the dancing. My mom also enjoyed it because she’s a Bad Bunny fan.
