The book Crave is a well-known young adult paranormal romance. It is the first book published in the series Crave, which was written by a #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author named Tracy Wolff. Tracy Wolff was formally known as an English Professor, but is now a full-time author. She is known for writing action and romance-filled novels. She is most known for her series Crave, which began in 2020.
Crave is full of suspense, excitement, and humor. When I first read the book, I was automatically entranced by the setting she had created. The description was amazing, and I could picture it perfectly in my mind. I was automatically addicted and could not stop reading. Each scene in the book had a distinct illustration that made me feel as if I were right along with the characters.
The female protagonist of the book is Grace Foster. Grace is 17 years old and relocated to Alaska to start her new journey at a new school called Katmere Academy. We meet the male protagonist Jaxon Vega soon after. In the book, Grace is shown as an empathetic, selfless, and anxiety-ridden person. She has little courage in herself and prefers being alone. She’s completely different from Jaxon, who is shown as a mysterious and distant person with a lot of guilt. Grace spends a lot of time with her cousin Macy Foster, who is energetic, dependable, and a source of comfort for Grace. Grace also meets a guy named Flint Montgomery. Flint is courageous, humorous, and extremely animated. She becomes one of her first friends at Katmere Academy.
The book was a great read, especially if you are a fan of the Twilight series. I initially wanted nothing to do with it because I thought it was just a rip-off of Twilight, but I was immediately proved otherwise. The book has a great mix of humor and suspense, and unlike Twilight it has a broader magical, mystical element. If you are looking for your next read after your Twilight marathon, I really recommend giving it a try. After all, you should never judge a book by its cover.

Ironically, as a journalist I don’t go out of my way to read stuff. Only doing so whenever it’s required or when I truly have nothing else to do. But this book seems intriguing despite that, so I could give it a read in the future.

I really like how you give your honest opinion about the book. This seems like a good book to read!

I am not a big fan of things like twilight so these books might not be for me. Though I might read them someday to see if I will or will not like them later.

I really liked your review, Daeden! I’m in 9th grade and I usually think vampire stories are kind of basic, but the way you described Katmere Academy makes it sound way cooler.
