Stranger Things reached a conclusion with its fifth and final season, which was released in three separate parts across the end of 2025. The season premiered on November 26, 2025, and concluded on December 31, 2025, marking the end of a decade-long story. As of March 2026, it has been roughly three months since the series finale, The Rightside Up, first aired on Netflix and in some theaters.
Our responders shared their favorite character and why: Zebdi Quintanilla states, “My favorite character has to be El, she’s so empowering.” El is definitely empowering; she has so much courage and fights to protect her loved ones. Julio Ramirez Lue says, “My favorite character is Henry, because he has a very interesting background.” Last but not least, Genesis Gutierrez states, “My favorite character is Will Byers because of everything he’s gone through, and he’s had good friendship scenes.”
On the contrary, we have the fans’ least favorite characters and why. Maliyah Stewart states, “My least favorite character is Will because I feel like he’s separated from the rest of the cast. It feels forced.” While Genesis Gutierrez states, “My least favorite character is Jack Sullivan because he’s been hunting down eleven and hurting other people along the way.” Jack Sullivan is the antagonist in the 4th and 5th seasons of the show. Jack is a lieutenant who wants to hunt down Eleven to stop her due to her powers.
Moving on from our least favorite character, we have the characters that our responders think will gain powers. Freda Soehedey states, “I think they will all have powers in their own way, maybe not real ones, but in their own way.” In their own way, they all have powers; they help each other out, which, in the show, is more useful. While Jerome Odie states, “ Max will probably get powers because she is living in her mind, so she sees everything Vecna’s thinking and all the bad things to him, she can control him in her own way by his memories”.Most people would definitely agree that Max will get powers, especially because she has a deep connection with Vecna.
When asked for their favorite seasons, the responses across the show’s seasons highlight different moments: Season 1: Lasiya states, “I love the moment when Will’s mom puts the lights up to talk to him.” Season 2: Avanna Diaz says, “Season 2 was the funniest one and had great scenes.” Season 3: This season was popular, Freda Soehedey states, “11 gets a new hairstyle, and I really like it on her,” while Chloe rich mentioned, “ The Starcourt Mall fight in season 3 was so captivating, along with the song Neverending Story.” Kayla Moore mentioned Season 5 and states, “I hope 11 finds her sister and I hope Will gets powers.”
Fans agree that Stranger Things does capture the feel of the 1980s. Avanna Diaz says, “ I have watched 80s-based shows, so I feel the 80’s depicted in Stranger Things represent the 80s time.” Chloe rich goes and says more, “The landline phones and the TVs and the walkie-talkies and honestly, just the way they speak represent the 80’s.” Lasiya Quinn says, “The representation is amazing because I love 80s clothes and they show that a lot.” Freda Soehedey says, “I have seen other shows and movies from that time, and it looks similar.”Not everyone agrees. Kayla Moore shows another view, saying, “While the clothes are 80s themed, the opposite can be said for the events.”
The fans showed different opinions on how the adult character is the show’s dynamic. Freda Soehedey states, “Joy Byers is the bravest character; she tears apart her house and runs into the lights to tell Will that she will never give up on finding him.” This determination was a memorable part of the first season for Lasiya Quinn stating, “It was kinda funny when she went crazy.” Other characters were more for their character flaws. Chloe Rich characterized, “I see Ted Wheeler as the 80s dad. He pretty much just sleeps in his chair and only cares about boring house stuff and himself. I think he’s mainly there for the plot.” Kayla Moore says, “ Karen Wheeler, Mike’s mom, was flirting with Billy Hargrove, Max’s brother, and I felt she developed more because she helped save Holly even though she was in the hospital.” Avanna Diaz says, “I love how the fd3 ice cream store looks.”
The music of Stranger Things, which has original ’80s hits, gives fans opinions. Freda soehedey praised Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein for their good picks of music and says “They have done a good job of showing the feeling of excitement of 80s culture in their tracks.” Chloe Rich states, “They did a killer job selecting iconic songs that become major plot devices or perfectly set the scene.” Both Lasiya Quinn and Avanna Diaz state they “ Loved the scene where Dustin sings on the hill,” while Kayla Moore states, ” The Neverending Story duet was a funny moment and is so iconic.”
Next, we have the fans show opinions on the show’s visual effects of the Upside Down and other things. Zebdi Quintanilla shares her perspective, stating, “The production could be better, I feel like it lacks better animation,” while Julio Ramirez Lu and Genesis Gutierrez show a better assessment, specifically highlighting the show’s technical progress over time. Julio Ramirez Lusaid, “I loved the Upside Down and the depiction of it. The graphics got better throughout the seasons.” And Genesis Gutierrez says, “The special effects looked really cool and got better throughout the entire show.”
Overall Ratings: Fans were asked to rate the show on a scale of 1 to 10. The responses fall somewhere within a higher number, with some perfect scores and a few low answers. 10/10: “ I give it a 10/10, Stranger Things has amazing storytelling and has a great plot”. Jerome Odie states, “ I give it a 10/10 because it’s interesting.”.9/10: Laysia and Avanna Diaz both gave a 9/10. Laysia said the deduction was because “every episode doesn’t add up to the next.” 8.5/10: Kayla Moore “I rate Stranger Things an 8.5 because it has a good plot and I love how events unfold around the main characters.” Freda Soehedey gave the lowest score, a 7/10, sharing the same opinion as Laysi. Freda states, “All plots don’t lead to the next.”

Next, we are going to explain the key events that happened in The Final Battle. The characters launch a plan. Eleven, Kali, and Max attack Vecna’s mind, while the rest of the group fights the physical form of the Mind Flayer in the Abyss. Joyce Byers delivers the final death blow to Vecna by using an axe on him in ” Eleven’s Sacrifice. To permanently close the bridge between worlds and prevent the military from using her powers, Eleven apparently sacrifices herself as the Upside Down is destroyed. She uses her psychic powers to say goodbye to Mike before the wormhole collapses.
The Ending: An 18-month time jump shows the characters’ futures in 1989. During a final Dungeons & Dragons game, Mike theorizes that Eleven is actually alive in a remote village, protected by an illusion cast by Kali. You also see Holly with her friends to take over their game. We hope there is a remake with them. The episode ends showing Eleven hiking near three waterfalls, leaving it up to fans to decide if this is reality or a hopeful fiction.
