Summer is right around the corner, and unfortunately, so is the heat.

With the air heating up, people tend to change their wardrobes, wear less clothing, or make up their own trends to stay stylish, but cool in the summer heat.

Just roaming the halls, I can tell everyone is feeling the heat.

So, what are our Eagles wearing this summer?

Some people like more girly outfits, while others just wear what they want, as long as they’re cool during the hot summertime.

“I LOVE cute lacy tops, I think they’re so dainty and light enough to wear for summer. They’re perfect when you want to look cute but also not be overheated. They’re basic, but they have enough details to put simple but adorable outfits together for this summer,” said Analiyah Esparza.

“I really like the look of miniskirts because they are free and flowy. Mini skirts are just the most perfect clothing item, and they’re amazing for summer because it gets so hot. They’re easy to accessorize and they’re also super cute,” said Fatima Melgar.

“I like those 1990 polka dot swimsuits. Like, the ones with those small flowy skirts at the bottom, but they’re still a one-piece, and they also have ruffles at the top. I want to see them so much more. They are so beautiful, and they’re unique; you don’t see every girl with one. Even though they are super unique, I want to see them become more popular, just because of how cute they are. I feel like they also don’t make clothes like they used to. I wish they made clothes the way they did back then,” said Gisselle Flores.

Others take a more grunge approach, embracing their inner style.

“I like jorts because they’re stylish and anyone can do anything with them. If you want a grunge-punk outfit or a cute, light, lacy outfit, they are perfect. They let you be creative, I like seeing them styled,” said Fanny Diaz.

However, some people are over the conventional fashion trends, and let their personal style shine. “I love it when I see people mix unconventional colors, like gold or silver, or unique combinations. Seeing people with their own peace of mind and style is such a breath of fresh air,” said Easton Peterson.

Some people are more simple. They see something they like, and they do it too. It’s time efficient, and helps them learn what they like, and experience their own style.

“I am going to try wearing more jewelry. I think as summer comes around, more people start wearing more jewelry. I feel like I don’t really think about it, but with the heat and the lighter clothes, I think jewelry is what makes simpler outfits better. Like, for example, when people start wearing less due to the heat, there are fewer layers and fewer accessories. Jewelry is overall what can make or break an outfit, and in times when it is too hot to wear unique layers, jewelry is the one thing that pops,” said Lenell Evans.
