Why do people like music so much? For some people it helps them distract themselves from things they don’t talk about and also helps people calm down, And for Osbourn High School students, it helps them heal in some type of way nobody understands. Music is really popular and trending at OHS. Students love to hear music when they are studying, cleaning, and when they are getting ready, some students also enjoy hearing music because they like the beat of the music or they relate to the songs.
At Osbourn High School students love to hear music during the passing period or when they have lunch. Because of the new rules, students are not listening to music during class. Students will do anything to hear music because music is really powerful. Music helps students cope with life and also helps them with anxiety, and depression from just listening to music because it makes them feel more at peace with life.
“I like music so much because music can be relatable in some ways,” freshman Abstrid Raymundo said.
“I love music because music brings something to life and helps me focus more,” said freshman Litzy Nolasco.
“I like music because it helps me calm down and forget about everything,” freshman Valeria Nunez said.
Some students have different reasons because some students use music to help them forget about stuff and other students use music to focus more, so everyone listens to music for different reasons.
“The type of music I listen to is any type of music, as long as they have a nice beat,” freshman Litzy Nolasco said.
People have different types of music tastes at Osbourn High School. Some students listen to music because of the beat of the songs others listen to music because of the lyrics of the songs
“I really like listening to R&B music,” freshman Valeria N. said.
Students at OHS listen to different types of genres of music sometimes people don’t like a specific music taste that other people have. These are some types of genres students listen to: Corrido, Latin music, Hip Hop.
Everyone listens to different songs every day and different genres of music because there isn’t a day when somebody goes without listening to music because music helps you express your feelings and helps you control your emotions, Music can really change people’s views on life.
At Osbourn High School, Students listen to different types of songs when they are at school. During the passing period they always play a song and every song is different because they change it every month, but for this month they are playing Bidi Bidi Bom Bom by Selena Quintanilla. They always play that song when the bell is about to ring, but at OHS students enjoy hearing music from different artists as well.
“The last song I listened to was Si Es Posible from Edicion Especail,” said freshman Julissa Vidals.
“The last song I was listening to was Moon River by Frank Ocean,” said Freshman Valeria N.
“I’m listening to Por El Momento by Nicky Jam ft Plan B,” said freshman Abstrid R.
Many OHS students love to recommend their favorite songs to their friends, even if they don’t like that type of music.
“I recommend any song to be honest… except country music,” said J Karla F.
“The artist I recommend is Frank Ocean because it’s peaceful and Ivan Cornejo because he talks about real stuff and gets me in my feelings,” said freshman Julissa V.
” The songs I recommend are Moon River by Frank Ocean, Strange by Celeste, and Aquia Te Espero by Ivan Cornejo. They are all great artists and singers,” said freshman Valeria N.

Kali Uchis has some really good songs that motivate me more than others. I’d check her most popular songs for the best ones. Bruno Mars also has some good songs like Finesse and one other that I forgot the name of sadly.

I love Tyler, the Creator and Lana Del Rey. Even if the two artists have almost completely different music genres, something about their music comes off as catchy. Lana is good for feeling moody or to zone out to. Tyler’s music usually has a story behind his albums which makes the listening experience interesting.

Okay if you don’t like lyrics and just want to focus on your work, I recommend something that has a nice beat like lo fi and if its raining (this is my personal opinion) I would listen to the rain when doing work because it could cause a less stressful environment.
