Have you ever thought about life after graduation or what you will do after high school, or even what the people around you will do after graduation? Every senior had different answers and was excited to be done with high school, but some were a little sad and explained that they would miss high school and their friends.
Everybody chooses a different path after high school. Some decide to get into work immediately, and some choose to continue their education and pursue a major. There are so many majors one can choose from but some examples are cybersecurity, international security and law, computer science, and business management. Some seniors are unsure of their plans, and that’s okay. Others hope to start a business or attend a trade school.
“I enjoyed my high school years. I think my favorite year was sophomore year because I was on the JV soccer team with my friends and I enjoyed being able to play every day after school. I think after high school I’m going to go into trade school and learn to be an electrician. It caught my attention because of the salary and once you get better the salary gets higher,” said Ivan Morales.
“I don’t see the point of college for me. I have never liked school, and I don’t see why I would pay thousands to continue my education when I can go into a trade. I am deciding on HVAC, welding, or plumbing,” said Valentine Chicas.
” I wanna go to Nova for two years and then transfer to a four-year school to get my bachelor’s degree. I plan on majoring in cyber security at George Mason, or computer science. Those are my two choices. I can’t wait to graduate and go into the world,” said Nima Dadfarnia.
“I want to go to college and study cybersecurity. There’s a program that offers an internship, which gets me paid while I study. I do want to be making money right away for my goals that I have. I want to start my own business within computer science,” said Michael Olguin.
“I think I want to go straight into working right after high school and make as much money possible, then see if what happens from there. I’m not totally sure what I wanna do yet- there’s many options,” explained Nick Freeman.
We can’t wait to see what our seniors accomplish once they leave the OHS nest.
