On December 7th, the OHS Choral department held the winter concert, called Songs of the Season. The concert was at 7:00 in the OHS auditorium. They spent a lot of time practicing and preparing for the show so that the audience would enjoy it.
The show started with Maya Mira and Vanessa Hernandez as hosts. Maya spoke English and Vanessa spoke Spanish. The hosts welcomed the crowd and proceeded to introduce the first song.
The first song that performed was Wassail. The singers were in regular concert attire that consisted of black dresses and black shirts and pants. The second song that they sang was Joy to the World.
The third song performed was Silent Night. Chorus members did movements with it. They also did it in German and they said that this was to show that this song has been adapted to many cultures. They also featured a soloist, Ella Birmingham and used candle lights as props.
