Art classes are arguably the best classes you can take.
Art classes allow students to learn different styles while creating their own. Art classes can be pretty stress-free and many prefer it to other classes. Keith Tate is a freshman art student and he says, “I prefer art class over any other class. I enjoy drawing things in my free time, so art class is an easy A for me, plus I’d say I’m good at drawing so that’s a plus too.”
In art class you can grow and develop your style, Vicky E. said this about her personal art style: “My art style is neat and messy it is like a sketch. A lot is usually going on.”
Allison Avila is a freshman and she says that her art is mostly better in art class “If the prompt or idea we’re given is something I’m familiar with, then ultimately I do great, but however, if it’s something I’m not too great at, such as inking, then I’m sort of dull at it. But because of the grade, satisfaction from the teacher, and potential to be put on the art show – these make me always try to put more effort forward than I do in my casual and personal art. So my final answer is it depends, but my art is mostly better in classes.”
Art class can be limiting in some ways, and for some, it can be hard to express yourself in class. Derek Vuong had this to say: “It depends on which art class you choose. Partaking in general art courses like Foundation Art will enforce fewer limits on you, while specialized art courses like Drawing 1 will often limit you to practicing the fundamentals of drawing, like shading, form, and perspective. In my opinion, it can be good or bad, depending on what you’re looking to achieve. If you are looking to master a specific form of art, you would benefit from sacrificing artistic freedom, in exchange for developing a new skill. However, if you are interested in exploring a variety of art mediums, a more generalized art course will give you the freedom to explore multiple mediums, to build a more comprehensive idea of the art world.”
You can also learn to create a unique art style in art class, your style can change based on inspiration from other artists. “When it comes to painting, my inspirations are Karen Schmidt, Vaxo Lang, Yulecuteart, and Claude Monet. But for my more cartoonish art, my inspirations are Artgerm and Omar Dogan,” explained Allison.

I feel like taking art class would be so fun to have especially if your a student who takes lots of electives and doing very well in your classes it could be like a class where you could relax and while the class is easy especially if your good at art

What a great article. I think art is a form of expression. It is something I do as an activity on my free time.
