Osbourn High School’s 2023 volleyball season has begun and the players are ready.  Girls volleyball is a very competitive sport. Most of these girls on our OHS volleyball team have honed their skills for years at Osbourn or at Metz but on our j.v.  team we even have some first-time players! “My first time being on the OHS volleyball team has been very fun playing with my teammates,” said Isabella Ferrel.

Tryouts this year at OHS were competitive and challenging. “The tryouts this year were more difficult and consisted of more drills,” said Daviana Vidal.

Volleyball is a team game; you need to really on your teammates for everything, and need to trust them to make plays and win games. “I know my teammates well, and they have to trust me to give a good pass to the setter,” said Bianca Duran.

The volleyball program has both a j.v. team and a varsity team. Our varsity’s record as of 10/11/23 is 5-11. “This season has been more difficult because our opponents have gotten better, so we need to keep improving as well,” said Keila Rich.  The team is a community, and all of the players have to band together to play through some of these more difficult games against rival schools.

The senior night game to congratulate our seniors for their final season on the OHS volleyball team was  10/11//23  against Freedom High School.
