On Saturday May 17, 2025, Osbourn’s guitar program hosted Tui T. Sutherland’s Fan WingFest. Sutherland is the author of the famous Wings of Fire series. The event sold out at 1,000 tickets with the price being $25 for a parent/child combo. The event was used as a fundraiser for the guitar program at Osbourn High School. Each person who attended received a free book, illustrated magazine, and holographic bookmark. Various events occurred throughout the day, including photos with the author, face painting, a trivia contest, and more. Sutherland even read excerpts from her 16th book in the Wings of Fire series, called The Hybrid Prince. “I have always loved books, and it makes my teacher heart so happy that these sweet kids found their tribe at such a young age,” said guitar teacher Ms. Rubach.

Hi! My name is Jackson, and I’m currently a 9th grader at Osbourn High School. My favorite things to do in my free time are watching horror movies and participating in local theater. I’m looking forward to writing articles for this website.

I honestly didn’t expect such a famous author of a popular book to come here at Osbourn. That’s pretty cool! I hope people were happy to see her because if I saw my favorite author, I would be very happy too. Good for the guitar program, I hope they had a fun time meeting her!

I have heard of this book but I never read it. At some point in the future I will read this book to find out what it is all about.
