A new ongoing Manga series has made its way onto the internet, a book that was in the works in secret by famous Youtuber, CoryxKenshin. After Cory’s nine month unexpected hiatus, the Youtuber drops an outstanding, visually appealing trailer for his Manga on December 14th, 2024. The trailer has reached up to 15 million views on Youtube as far, both due to the manga’s release and Cory’s appearance after being gone for nearly 9 months. The title of his Manga is called Monsters We Make, CoryxKenshin’s newest project.

Monsters We Make is Manga made by Cory Devante Williams, otherwise known as famous Youtuber, CoryxKenshin. Taken place in the near future in New Edyn City, the manga focuses on the protagonist, named Jabari Booker, who attends an academy called New Edyn Academy. It’s noted that Jabari is also an inspiring musician and he attends New Edyn to fulfill that goal. Alongside entering a new school, it isn’t all that it seems. While Jabari expects to expand upon his musical talents, he rather finds himself fighting mutated monsters that were once citizens and classmates that were turned into monsters by a corrupted corporation. Him and his friends fight alongside each other to figure out the secrets behind New Edyn Academy.

The art style of the book is similar to other Shonen mangas, which are mangas usually meant for young men, like Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen and Dragon Ball Z. Although, some characters have more details than others, such as the monsters, who are drawn in an uncanny way to further emphasize the monster’s appearance. The character designs are generally unique to each character’s personality. The trailer for the manga’s release looks outstanding, with how smoothly the animation clashes together with the colors presented in the teaser. The fighting combos shown in the teaser are unique and interesting as well.

For my overall review of the book, it’s definitely not the best manga I’ve ever read before, but it’s a good book to read during my free time If I ever need someone to read. The characters each have unique personalities with each other, further making diversity in the book. It’s a book that is well put together and the creators devoted their time and effort into.
